A man was arrested after he reportedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend who was trying to get a protective order against him Friday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called to Peace Park for a report of a male punching a woman in the face and found Danyell Wright who said 32-year-old Michael Mabern had assaulted her.
Wright was reportedly trying to get a protective order on Mabern who she had just broken up with.
Mabern is charged with intimidating a participant in a legal process and fourth-degree assault.
