Work for the building began in 2014 after the Kentucky General Assembly authorized Governor Steve Beshear’s initiative for the KCTCS BuildSmart Investment for Kentucky Competitiveness. Construction began in October of 2017, with a few finishing touches to be completed over the next few weeks as students return to class Monday.
The $15-million project required a 25% match, which was meet thanks to community support from Christian, Todd, and Trigg counties.
