A man featured by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office on Most Wanted Wednesday was apprehended in Stewart County, Tennessee Friday.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office posted on social media Wednesday that Scotty Bowen was wanted for failure to appear for sentencing for a jury trial on charges of first-degree sexual abuse of a victim under 12-years of age and intimidating a witness. Authorities indicated Bowen was last known to be in the area of Bumpus Mills in Stewart County.

Stewart County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Paulette Redman reported Friday afternoon that Bowen was located in the woods in Lower Standing Rock. She says deputies, and officers with the U.S. Forest Service and Tennessee Highway Patrol, conducted a search Thursday afternoon and continued the search Friday morning for about three hours until Bowen was captured. He was reportedly dressed in camouflage, had a backpack and weapons on him along with camping supplies.
