Former Assistant Coach Indicted On Sex-Related Crimes

The grand jury Friday indicted a former assistant football coach at Christian County Middle School and several other men in separate sex-related cases.

37-year old Bryan Lamon Wimbleduff of Cerulean was indicted by the Christian County Grand Jury for two counts of promoting sexual performance by a minor under 16-years of age, prohibited use of an electronic communication system to procure minor, and distributing obscene material to minors, first offense. The arrest warrant alleges that Wimbleduff contacted a 15-year old male via SnapChat on July 15 and requested photos of the teen’s private parts. He then allegedly offered the teen money if he would send pictures performing a sexual act on himself. The indictment says Wimbleduff also sent a photo of his private parts to the victim.

Robert Bishop

The grand jury also indicted Robert Bishop for first-degree rape – domestic violence and first-degree sodomy – domestic violence. The indictment says, between December 25, 2008 and August 12, 2018, Bishop engaged in sexual intercourse and deviate sexual intercourse with the victim.

David Davenport of Pembroke was indicted for first-degree sexual abuse – victim under 12-years of age. According to the indictment, Davenport allegedly made sexual contact with a minor under 12-years of age between August 7, 2012 and August 6, 2014.

The grand jury indicted Samuel Woodruff for first-degree sexual abuse – victim under 12-years of age that indictment says occurred between January 19, 2012 and January 18, 2014.

And Cory Braden was indicted for third-degree rape. The indictment accuses Braden of engaging in sexual intercourse with a 16-year old female, who was at least 10-years younger than him.
