A Hopkinsville couple was charged with trafficking meth after they would not leave a hotel room Thursday night.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called to the Best Western for two people that would not leave a room and found 29-year-old Gregory Herald and 38-year-old Sonya Salyers.
Herald reportedly told police he was homeless and when he got into his truck to get his identification, police could see multiple purses inside.
Inside one of the purses police allegedly found meth, a pipe, and two needles. Herald was also found to have marijuana in his pocket.
Both are charged with first-degree trafficking meth and Herald was also charged with possession of marijuana.
