Salvation Army Needs Volunteers For Emergency Shelter

The Salvation Army in Hopkinsville is looking for volunteers to help provide a meal or serving in the Emergency Shelter at dinner time.

Director of Social Services Alisa Barton says they are looking to build their volunteers for the Meal Train, which is an online format.

She adds they have been providing three meals a day for many years. Right now, Barton says they need volunteers to help with serving or providing the dinner meal at 5:30 p.m.

She notes they average serving around twenty meals at night at the Emergency Shelter, located next to the Soup Kitchen at 301 East 7th Street.
