A quick round of strong to severe thunderstorms made their way over the region Tuesday evening with several power outages reported.
Pennyrile Electric spokesman Brent Gilkey tells the News Edge after the storms they were left with nearly 1,000 members without power in the region, with the majority reported in Logan and Todd counties.
A power line was knocked down near the 25-mile marker of the Pennyrile Parkway in northern Christian County. Gilkey adds crews had to shut down all lanes to clear the lines and to restring them to restore power for members near Grapevine Road.
