Boys and Girls Club of Hopkinsville Giving Youth Great Futures

Davis highlighted the Boys and Girls Club youth present at the event.

The Boys and Girls Club of Hopkinsville hosted their Great Futures Luncheon Wednesday afternoon to share with the public the profound impact they are having in the lives of local youth.

There were multiple speakers at the event, including Executive Director Terrence Davis. He says the Boys and Girls Club believes their program is the first steps in the path to success.

 

In addition, Davis awarded former Mayor Dan Kemp with the 2019 Champion of Youth Award during the event. The 2019 Youth of the Year from the club, Taylor Gilmore says the club has had a positive impact on her life.

Board Vice-Chair Holly Bivins says their work in the community will have a lasting impact on those they serve.

Club Alumni Carlie Lane adds the youth in the program are the future of Hopkinsville.

The Director of Development from the Boys and Girls Club of America, Alan Brostoff also spoke about how well the Hopkinsville club is doing. He says this club has the highest-ranking optimal club experience score in the midwest region, as voted by the kids themselves.
