The smell of bar-b-que filled the air in downtown Hopkinsville Friday as nine teams competed for top honors and bragging rights in the second Squealin on the Square. All nine teams cooked chicken, with eight teams competing in pork ribs and pork chops.
In the pork chop category, the New Work Iron Cookers took first, Hopkinsville Fire Department taking second and Kinfolk Catering earning third.
Big Pappa’s bar-be-que won first in the pork rib category, with New Work Fellowship Iron Cookers earning second and Pristers Worldwide cooking team took 3rd.
In the chicken category, Two Cody’s team took first, with Kinfolk Catering earning second and New Work Fellowship Iron Cookers taking third.
Two Cody’s also won the People’s Choice award with 73 out of 188 votes.
