CCSO Warns Residents Of Social Security Scam

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office is warning the public about a Social Security scam after they received several calls from residents Monday morning.

Public Information Officer Deputy Chris Miller tells the News Edge the residents reported receiving a call from the Social Security Administration saying there was a “problem” with their social security number. Miller said that is a definite red flag because that’s not how the Social Security Administration conducts business.
