A traffic stop on Fort Campbell Boulevard led to a stolen gun and marijuana Tuesday morning. Hopkinsville Police say they stopped 21-year-old Jovontis Smith-Moore for not wearing a seatbelt and found a child in the vehicle that was also not wearing a seatbelt.
Smith-Moore told police he had a gun in the glove compartment.
The gun was reported stolen in Ohio and after a search of the vehicle, police found a grinder with marijuana inside.
He is charged with receiving stolen property, possession of marijuana, failure to wear a seatbelt, and failure to use child restraint device in a vehicle.
