Public Input Needed For 2030 Community Vision Plan

A team with the Greater Hopkinsville Chamber Foundation is asking for the public’s input as they organize the next strategic vision plan for Christian County. The foundation, in coordination with the Christian County Chamber of Commerce, has selected a consultant out of Washington, along with a 20 person task force of community members to help guide the project and develop the plan.

Community Vision Planning 2030 liaison Taylor Hayes tells the News Edge the public’s input, which includes a two-question survey, is key for the Community Vision Plan.

Hayes adds the second question is, more or less, how would you make the vision happen?

Hayes notes there will be several opportunities for the community to take the survey in person or you can submit ideas online.

He adds they are trying to get as many people as possible to provide input that will be included in a report.

Hayes hopes they will have the action plan and report by next spring or summer.

The proactive engagement phase of the project runs through September. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Taylor Hayes at visionplan@christiancountychamber.com.
