LBL Back Open For Business After Weekend Storms

Land Between the Lakes Recreational Area is open for business, with the exception of a couple of areas, after severe storms and tornadoes pushed through the area over the weekend and downed numerous trees and caused damages in the national forest.

Public Affairs Officer Chris Joyner says the hardest hit areas were in the northern portion of LBL and crews have worked hard to get the roads back open.

Right now, he notes they are focused on getting the remainder of the debris removed from the roads. Although there will be a delay in the reopening of Energy and Taylor Bays, Joyner says LBL is open for business and he hopes everyone will come out and visit the recreational area and enjoy the upcoming holiday.
