Law enforcement was called to Energy Lake Road for a woman that was assaulted Thursday morning.
Law enforcement says a man severely assaulted a woman by punching her before she jumped from the moving vehicle.
The assault started in Marshall County but she was able to get away from him on Energy Lake Road in Trigg County.
The woman’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. She was taken by ambulance to Murray Hospital.
No arrest have been made.
