No More Closures Expected On Eggner’s Ferry Bridge

Work is ongoing to waterproof the Eggner’s Ferry Bridge, with Kentucky Transportation Cabinet officials saying the bridge will not see any more overnight closures for the duration of the project.

Spokesman Keith Todd says the project started in late April and will continue the next few months.

To facilitate the project, the bridge was closed for two 24-hour periods, which caused an inconvenience for motorists that traveled to the far western part of the state from Trigg County. The Eggner’s Ferry Bridge connects Trigg and Marshall counties on US 68/80 and serves as the western entrance to the Land Between the Lakes Recreational Area.
