Contractors for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet closed a bridge on Highway 139 South/South Road in Trigg County Monday to begin a total bridge replacement.
Spokesman Keith Todd tells the News Edge the bridge over Burge Creek could remain closed through August.

Motorists can detour via Old Canton Pike, Old Dover Road, and Pleasant Hill Church Road.
