An Oak Grove woman was charged with two counts of first-degree criminal abuse Wednesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say 22-year-old Ashli Cussins was arrested on a warrant after she reportedly failed to provide immunizations, medical care or nutrition to her 6-month-old daughter.
The child was found emaciated and had only gained 6 ounces since birth. Cussins second child an 18-month-old was also found underweight and unable to walk.
Both children were removed from her care and have gained weight and the oldest child is now able to walk.
The warrant was take out by Oak Grove Police Department.
