Hopkinsville Man Charged In Bryan Street Shooting


Police have arrested a man wanted in connection with a shooting on Bryan Street that injured a man and two juveniles on May 7th.

Hopkinsville Police say 20-year-old Demontrai Kimbrough was involved in the shooting of 19-year-old Jaquavius Whitlock of Hopkinsville and two juveniles who were hit multiple times in front of 214 Bryan Street. 

When police arrived on Bryan Street two people were found lying in the roadway with gunshot wounds and a third person had already been taken to the hospital by private vehicle.

Helicopters were called to Jennie Stuart Medical Center to transport them to Nashville hospitals.

Kimbrough was arrested Monday and is lodged in the Christian County Jail on three counts of first-degree assault.

He is being held on a $500,000 bond.
