A Vietnam War veteran with no survivors will be laid to rest Friday morning at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
76-year old Stephen Jefferson Shields of Hopkinsville died Saturday. A graveside service will be held at the cemetery at 9:00 a.m. The Fallen Saints Motorcycle Club will be escorting the funeral procession to the cemetery to honor Shields. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton-Funeral Director Jennifer Hansley says anyone wanting to join the procession should be at the funeral home between 8:30 and 8:45 Friday morning.
Shields was born in Lubbock, Texas and served in the United States Army.
