A Trigg County man was injured when a fire engine flipped over Tuesday morning just east of Cadiz.
Trigg County Sheriff’s Deputy Danielle Adams tells the News Edge the vehicle was traveling eastbound on U.S. 68/80 when the driver’s side front tire blew. The driver lost control of the vehicle and crossed the median, causing the fire truck to flip over and slide into the westbound lanes.
Officials say the driver, Cadiz Fire Chief Thomas Futrell, was transported to Trigg County Hospital for treatment of injuries.
