Two Charged With Possession Of Meth And Shoplifting In Crofton

A man and woman were charged with possession of meth and shoplifting at the Crofton Dollar General Friday afternoon.

Christian County Sheriff’s Deputies say they were called to the Dollar General for a report of shoplifting and arrested 51-year-old Timothy King of Crofton and 38-year-old Karen Crafton of Nortonville.

During the arrest, King fled on foot but was arrested after a short pursuit by the deputy and a citizen. The deputy suffered injuries to his knee, elbow, and hip.

Meth, synthetic drugs, pills, and paraphernalia were found on the couple.

King is charged with third-degree assault, first-degree fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, first-degree possession of meth. Crafton was charged with shoplifting, possession of synthetic drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and first-degree possession of meth.
