Animal Cruelty Cases In Christian Co. Being Investigated

investigation-2

Two alarming cases of animal cruelty in Christian County are reportedly being investigated by authorities.

Christian County Animal Shelter Director Irene Grace says one of the cases occurred in January in the county and the recent case was near the shelter on Russellville Road.

Hopkinsville Police Lieutenant Kyle Spurlin says they are investigating the death of the dog near the shelter as an animal cruelty case.

Grace says the public needs to be cautious with their pets.

She also wants the public to know the police department is investigating the case and doing their best to get to the bottom of it.

Christian County Sheriff’s Department Public Information Officer Chris Miller tells the News Edge they are looking into the case that Grace stated occurred in the county.
