Trigg Woman Arrested For Wanton Endangerment Of Toddler

A Trigg County woman was arrested for wanton endangerment of a toddler and other charges Wednesday night.

According to a Cadiz Police Department report, officers were called out to the Cadiz Restaurant for an intoxicated female with a young child. When officers arrived, they found 54-year old Sherri Clark, of Cadiz getting in a vehicle with a toddler who did not have a booster seat and was sitting in the front passenger seat. Clark drove out of the parking lot and traveled westbound on Main Street. She proceeded to drive on to Turner Drive and was pulled over shortly after turning on Lafayette Street.

Upon contact with Clark, the officer reportedly detected the odor of alcoholic beverages on her breath and noted her eyes were bloodshot. She failed all field sobriety tests and registered nearly three times the legal limit on a breathalyzer test.

Clark was lodged in the Christian County Jail on charges of 1st-degree wanton endangerment, 1st-offense of operating a motor vehicle under the influence (aggravated circumstances), booster seat violations, and other offenses.
