Kentucky 272 was shut down for most of Friday afternoon near the Christian County and Trigg County line after a tanker truck overturned.
Christian County Emergency Management Director Randy Graham said the tanker, hauling gasoline and diesel, ran off the road and overturned just before noon.
No one was injured in the crash. Emergency personnel were called to the scene to assist in clean-up operations which took several hours.
Graham reported the road reopened shortly after 5:00.
