Cadiz Rotary Club Gearing Up For A Successful Auction

The Cadiz Rotary Club is a little over a week away from kicking off their yearly auction to raise money for the youth and seniors of the community.

Rotarian John Rufli tells the News Edge “Be the Inspiration” is the theme for the auction taking place April 15-19.

The auction will begin the week of raising money with the Rotary Kick-Off Breakfast at the Lake Barkley State Resort Park Convention Center on April 15. Doors for the breakfast will open at 6:00, tickets are $25 each.

Rufli adds the rotary club needs help with the country store, which is an essential part of the auction.

Rufli says the country store is a way for people who can’t afford to bid on an item to help the club.

He notes the country store will be open each night of the auction, with a live auction for the remaining items in the store to occur Friday night, April 19 at 6:00.

The Cadiz Rotary Radio Auction will be broadcast nightly on 106.5 WKDZ, wkdzradio.com, and the WKDZ app. The auction will kick-off at 7:00 PM each night, with an Education Special to take place Tuesday night at 6:00. During the special, Trigg County Public School students will talk about the money they have raised for rotary during the year.
