Hopkinsville Man Charged With Leaving The Scene Of An Accident

A Hopkinsville man was arrested on a warrant Thursday for leaving the scene of an accident after a wreck on East 1st Street last month.

Hopkinsville Police say 30-year-old Kenneth Evans caused a wreck on March 18th by running a stop sign then fled on foot before police arrived.

The driver of the vehicle he hit had injuries to his face. The passenger in Evens vehicle identified him to police and alcohol was also found inside the vehicle.

Evens is charged with leaving the scene of an accident, disregarding a stop sign, driving on a DUI suspended license and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle.

He is lodged in the Christian County Jail.
