Teen Charged With Making School Shooting Threats In Hopkinsville

A teenager was charged after he allegedly made threats of a shooting at a Hopkinsville school Tuesday morning.

Christian County Public Schools’ Director of Public Relations and Communications John Rittenhouse tells the News Edge they were made aware of a possible threat at Hopkinsville High School Tuesday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say the teen sent messages and pictures of him holding a gun to another teen threatening a school shooting after spring break at Hopkinsville High School.

Guns, ammunition, and body armor were found in the teens home.

The teen was taken into custody on Golden Pond Avenue in Oak Grove. He is charged with second-degree terroristic threatening.
