Princeton Man Charged With Assaulting A Police Officer

A Princeton man was charged with assaulting a police officer after a traffic stop on West 19th Street Thursday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say 41-year-old Joseph Joslin was stopped for a turn signal violation and during the stop, police could see pills laying in the vehicle.

Joslin would not get out of the vehicle when asked and police pulled him from the vehicle and he begin to resist arrest and attempted to kick officers

He was tased and found to have a syringe on him.

He is charged with third-degree assault, improper signal, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and second-degree disorderly conduct. He is being lodged at the Christian County Jail.
