Oak Grove Tourism Honored With 2018 Kaleidoscope Award

For the third year in a row, Oak Grove Tourism brought home a Kaleidoscope Award from the Southeast Festivals and Events Association’s (SFEA) Kaleidoscope Awards held in conjunction with the association’s annual conference.

Oak Grove Tourism and Convention Commission Event Coordinators Whitney Stewart and Cassie Howe accepted the bronze SFEA Kaleidoscope Award for Best Children’s Programming for their Annual Butterfly Festival.

According to Tourism Executive Director Traci Cunningham, Oak Grove has been well represented by their Tourism Commission, as they have been recognized both regionally, and internationally. She notes they won the Silver Pinnacle Award for Best New Event “The Solar Eclipse Experience” in 2018 at the International Festival and Event Association Conference held last October in San Diego, California.

Cunningham says in the release she’ is extremely proud of her team that who works hard year after year to bring these free family fun signature festivals to the community they love. She adds they strive to make Oak Grove a popular tourist destination that everyone can be proud of and adds these festivals make that happen.

The SFEA Conference was held in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
