Former Hopkinsville Real Estate Agent Passes Away

A well known Hopkinsville Real Estate Agent and businesswoman has passed away. Jewell D. Long passed away on February 5, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Long, who was 95 years old and just 22 days shy of her 96th birthday, was a native of Baskin, Louisiana. She owned and operated Jewell Long Realty on Country Club Lane in Hopkinsville for over 40 years.

In 2014, Miss Jewell, as she was affectionately known, was a guest on WHVO’s Hopkinsville Interesting People. She said she bought the small building just across from the Country Club in 1971, and her customers followed her there.
