Several road improvement recommendations were made, these roads would see total repaving. Those sections of roads include Highway 272 from Kings Chapel Road to the Christian County line, Highway 164 from Linton-County Road to Rock Front Loop, and Highway 164 from Old Dover Road to Highway 139.Oliver adds road recommendations made by the department last year, will get paved before June 30 this year. Those include three sections of road on Highway 525, two sections of Highway 274, and Highway 126 from Church Street to Highway 124.

Three bridges in the county will see a bridge deck retrofit waterproofing done on them this year. Those include a bridge on Highway 164, Highway 778, and Highway 126. Oliver says the bridge on Highway 139 just south of the Highway 272 intersection will see a major renovation in mid-March.

The Highway 139 bridge project will take up to 60 days to complete, during that time the roadway near the bridge will be closed to allow for the renovation. Two other bridges could see total renovations with the program later this fall. Those would include bridges on Hall Cemetery Road and County Road 1196. Three bridges will see the same renovations in the next few years, those include one on Ed Mitchell Road, Highway 807 over Donaldson Creek, and Buffalo Road over Stillhouse Branch Creek.
