Police are asking for the public’s assistance with a 2015 murder in Guthrie that remains unsolved.
According to a Kentucky State Police report, on June 28th, 2015 police were called to Old Trenton Road by Enos Yoder who said his father 79-year-old Amos Yoder had been assaulted and was deceased after someone broke into their home.
After police arrived they found that Amos Yoder and his wife 75-year-old Marjorie Yoder had been sleeping when someone entered their home around 2 am and demanded money.
The suspect reportedly assaulted them and took an unknown amount of money.
Amos Yoder was pronounced dead at the scene and Marjorie Yoder was taken to the hospital with severe injuries.
Evidence was collected at the scene but no arrests have been made. Police ask if you have any information on this murder to contact Kentucky State Police Post 2 at 270-676-3313.
