Firefighters Save Dog From Burning Home In Hopkinsville

Hopkinsville firefighters saved a dog from an  East 19th Street house fire Thursday afternoon.
Smoke was pouring from the roof of the brick home located at the 900 block when firefighters arrived.
Hopkinsville Fire Department Deputy Chief Steve Futrell told the News Edge at the scene that no one was home at the time of the fire.
A dog was rescued from the home shortly after firefighters arrived. The American Red Cross was called to assist the family.
