A Hopkinsville woman has been indicted on various charges, including receiving stolen property.

According to a Princeton Police report, officers served a Caldwell County Indictment at the Caldwell County Jail on 32-year-old Jeri K. Hammons just after six Tuesday evening. The report indicates that the indictment charges Hammons with fleeing or evading police first degree, DUI first offense, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia buying or possessing, three counts of wanton endangerment first degree, receiving stolen property $10,000 or more, criminal mischief first degree, operating on a suspended or revoked license, and assault of a police officer third degree.

The charges stem from an incident on December 7, 2018, when a Caldwell County Sheriff’s Deputy observed a stolen vehicle traveling on South Jefferson Street, near the Circle K convenience store in Princeton. When the deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver, Hammons, fled along South Jefferson. After a short pursuit, the deputy was able to stop the vehicle and arrested Hammons after a short scuffle.

Hammons was also served a Hopkins County warrant charging her with eight counts of theft by deception under $500, which stem from a separate incident.
