A Murray man was charged with multiple charges of distributing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor and promoting a minor under 16 in a sexual performance along with drug charges February 6th.
Murray Police say 20-year-old Joseph Costilow of Irvan Street was arrested after a complaint from a juvenile female who told police she had been sexually assaulted. During the investigation, a search warrant for his social media led to more than one victim. Police also reportedly found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a stolen handgun during a search of his home.
Costilow is charged with 8 counts of distributing matter portraying sexual performance, 11 counts of promoting a minor under 16 in a sexual performance, 11 counts of possession of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor, trafficking marijuana, receiving stolen property (firearm), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The investigation is ongoing and other possible victims have not yet been identified.
