Individuals facing wanton endangerment and forgery charges were among indictments returned by the Christian County Grand Jury Friday.
19-year old Dylan James Reynolds of Dawson Springs was indicted on three counts of first degree wanton endangerment, first degree criminal mischief, first degree fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest and other charges in connection to a disturbance at a party in which shots were fired in the 1700 block of Wayne Elgin Road on December 22, 2018. Christian County Sheriff’s deputies reported Reynolds became belligerent at the party and got into his vehicle and began driving around the house causing damage to the yard. He then reportedly attempted to run over three people at the residence until one of the victim’s shot the vehicle’s tires out with a shotgun in order to stop Reynolds from harming anyone. Reynolds then wrecked the vehicle and fled on foot when he heard deputies responding. Deputies said a K-9 unit found Reynolds hiding behind a residence.
The grand jury indicted 57-year old Prentice Tee Leavell of Louisville for first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of drug paraphernalia while armed, carrying a concealed deadly weapon and possession of a firearm in connection to a shots fired call in the 100 block of North O’Neal on December 22, 2018. A Hopkinsville Police report says Leavell became upset when he arrived to pick up his girlfriend and then went to his vehicle, removed his handgun and fired one shot in the air. Police arrested Leavell during a traffic stop at East 7th and Mechanic streets. During a search of the vehicle, officers reportedly found the handgun and a glass pipe with drug residue inside.
The grand jury indicted 33-year old Marion Glenn Sisk Jr. of Hopkinsville for receiving stolen property under $10,000, two counts of theft by deception under $500, and two counts of receiving stolen property under $500. From October 26, 2018 through November 5, 2018, the arrest warrant states Sisk was in possession of a truck valued at $8,000 and various other items that had been stolen from a shop. Christian County Sheriff’s deputies reported Sisk took the truck to West End Recycling in Todd County and sold it for scrap, and pawned a hoverboard and other items at Glory Guns and Pawn.
And 34-year old Joshua Adams Colwell and 30-year old Heather Marie Ballard, both of Hopkinsville, were indicted on multiple counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument, theft by deception over $500 under $10,000 and theft by deception under $500. The arrest warrant says from August 1, 2018 through September 4, 2018, the couple allegedly stole checks from a roommate. Colwell reportedly wrote 17 checks to himself totaling over $7,300 while his Ballard allegedly wrote six checks to herself totaling over $3,000.
