UPDATE- Passenger Killed, Driver Severely Injured In Greenville Road Wreck

A wreck at the 30-mile marker of Greenville Road killed a passenger in the car and severely injured the driver Tuesday afternoon.

According to a Christian County Sheriff’s Office report, a car driven by 59-year-old Donnas Skipworth of Logan County was northbound on Greenville Road when Skipworth fell asleep and ran off the road and down an embankment hitting a creek wall causing his vehicle to partially submerged in the creek.

Donnas Skipworth and his passenger 86-year-old Lonnie Skipworth of Clifty had multiple injuries including compound fractures to their legs, severe head injuries along with back and neck injuries, helicopters were called to the scene to fly them to the hospital. Donnas Skipworth was flown from the scene to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Lonnie Skipworth was transported by ambulance to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
