Freedom Elementary School will host the District Governor’s Cup Competition on Saturday.
School Secretary C. Marie Hughes reports numerous local schools will gather to take part in the competition, which is an academic event sponsored by the Kentucky Association for Academic Competition. Participating schools include; Freedom Elementary, Crofton Elementary, Sinking Fork Elementary, and University Heights Academy Elementary.
Hughes adds the Governor’s Cup features eight events, including the Quick Recall event, which is the only one open to the public.
