Hillcrest Baptist To Participate In Night To Shine In February

Hillcrest Baptist Church Pastor Joe Bufford

The Tim Tebow Foundation will sponsor a Night to Shine as an unforgettable prom night experience for people with special needs ages 14 and older. This February 8, Night to Shine will celebrate its fifth anniversary. 655 churches from around the world will come together to host Night to Shine for approximately 100,000 honored guests through the support of 200,000 volunteers.

One Hopkinsville church will be a part of that event. Hillcrest Baptist Church Pastor Joe Bufford says he is proud that his church will be participating in that event.

Pastor Bufford says if you have a special needs individual that you would like to attend, now is the time to get them signed up.

A Night To Shine is not only for people with special needs, but it is an opportunity to show appreciation for their caregivers.

Bufford adds that is why the church is looking for volunteers.

The Night to Shine will be held at the Silo Event Center just off the Fort Campbell Boulevard. The evening will feature music by a DJ plus a meal for those involved. Bufford says they need monetary donations as well as prom dresses, tuxedos, and food for the event. If you would like to volunteer or donate, you can go to their website at hillcrestbc.net.
