With reports of Hepatitis A cases in Christian County, area health departments are working to keep the public educated in other counties that could be affected by the virus.
Pennyrile District Health Department Director Charles Hiter tells the News Edge there have been Hepatitis A cases reported in their district, including Trigg County.

In addition to Trigg County, the health department also provides services to the counties of Caldwell, Crittenden, Livingston, and Lyon. Hiter says there are also Hepatitis A cases reported in Crittenden County.

The Christian County Health Department has confirmed one case, with seven probable cases and two suspected cases of Hepatitis A.
