Minor Snowfall Totals Reported Around The Region

The Pennyrile region of western Kentucky escaped major snowfall Friday night.

The Paducah National Weather Service reports northern portions of the region received under 2 inches of snow. A report received by the NWS in Princeton said around an inch and a half of snow had fallen, with the same reported a mile northeast of Madisonville. Snow showers ended shortly after midnight Saturday with the precipitation turning into rain. Temperatures are expected to remain above freezing in the region until Sunday night.

Weather Edge Forecaster David Powell says more snow chances are possible by next weekend and into the last full week of the month. Stay up-to-date with the latest forecasts by searching Your Weather Edge on Facebook and the Weather Edge blog at wkdzradio.com.
