A Madisonville man sustained severe injuries after the vehicle he was driving crashed through a building at the corner of Kentucky Avenue and Scott Street. According to the Madisonville Police report 41-year-old Matthew Graft was driving west on East Arch Street Wednesday around 1:45 when he lost control his vehicle and hit a parked vehicle in the lot of Thrifty Home Medical building.
After hitting the parked car, Graft’s vehicle crashed through the front of the business and came to rest on Scott Street. At the time of the crash, James Campbell was walking out the of building. When he saw the vehicle coming toward the building, Campbell was able to get out of the way but could not avoid being hit by debris.
Graft was transported to a regional hospital by Air Evac. Campbell was taken to the emergency room at Baptist Health Madionsville.
