A retirement reception will be held Friday evening for officers retiring from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff Livy Leavell announced earlier this year that he was retiring December 31, 2018, after a career in law enforcement that spanned four decades. In addition, a social media post says Major Tim Cooksey and Detective Leuitenant Scott Noisworth are also retiring from the sheriff’s office.
The public is invited to the retirement reception that will be held at 6:00 Friday evening at 2810 Richard Street in the small room at the back of the old convention center at the Western Kentucky State Fairgrounds. Light refreshments will be provided.
