The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for Livingston and Marshall counties to start the round of warnings near the noon hour.  A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for southern Trigg and Southern Christian Counties.  That warning quickly turned into a tornado warning for north Trigg and Christian Counties.  Tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings were also issued for Caldwell, Hopkins and Todd Counties, and Stewart and  Montgomery counties.

Reports indicate there was possible wind damage in the area of Bainbridge Road north of Kentucky 91 in Christian County. The steeple was blown off at Midway Baptist Church in Cobb and some barns were damaged in the area.

The storms also resulted in a major power outage that affected more than 13,000 Pennyrile Electric customers.  Pennyrile spokesman Brent Gilkey says the outage was the result of the main transmission line problem.

Severe thunderstorm and tornado watches around Western Kentucky were allowed to expire after the line of thunderstorms moved through the area.
