Woman Charged With Fleeing And Assaulting Officer

Tasha Blane/Christian Co. Jail

A Hopkinsville woman sought by police on three outstanding warrants is facing additional charges after she allegedly ran and assaulted a police officer Wednesday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police officers say 42-year old Tasha Blane was found walking down Hancock Street around 2:40 p.m and when police stopped she ran to a house where a door was open and fell where she was apprehended. As officers were walking Blane to the patrol car she pulled away and tried to flee and was taken to the ground and placed in handcuffs. As Blane was being placed in the police cruiser, she allegedly started spitting on officers. Police say she then stated that when an officer came to her home on Saturday to try to locate her she jumped out of the second-floor bedroom window and got away.

Blane was booked into the Christian County Jail charged with second degree fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, and third-degree assault of a police officer.
