A pedestrian hit by a vehicle in Clarksville earlier this month has died from his injuries at a Nashville hospital. Clarksville Police Public Information Officer Jim Knoll says 64-year old John Chambers passed away Wednesday afternoon at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
According to the accident report, Chambers was walking west across Fort Campbell Boulevard from the Oak Haven Hotel around 7:40 on December 1 when he was hit by a northbound pickup truck driven by a 46-year old man. Chambers was reported wearing a black hat, black coat, and blue jeans when he was struck.
Knoll indicates no charges have been filed against the driver and the investigation is ongoing.
