Police reportedly caught a man burglarizing a home on Pyle Lane early Sunday morning.
According to Hopkinsville Police, officers responded to the 1200 block of Pyle Lane around 3:30 a.m. and found a broken out front window and heard items breaking inside the home. An officer says 38-year old Demarco Poindexter was seen inside the living room and taken into custody. Police indicate Poindexter was under the influence of alcohol and other unknown substances.
The report says the homeowner had to crawl out of a bedroom window to escape the burglary in which she suffered injuries.
Poindexter was booked into the Christian County Jail charged with first-degree burglary.
