Motorists traveling Interstate 24 in Trigg County need to be aware of a lane restriction beginning Monday to allow concrete pavement repairs near the US 68/KY 89 Cadiz-Hopkinsville Exit 65.

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokesman Keith Todd says the lane restriction eastbound traffic will move to the left-hand or passing lane between the 64 and 66-mile marker for repair work to be conducted along the driving lane area. Westbound traffic will move to the left-hand lane near the 67-mile marker.

Todd adds the work lane restriction are expected to go up in these areas Monday morning and remain in place around the clock until sometime late Thursday afternoon.

Motorists are urged to use appropriate caution and be alert for trucks hauling materials into and out of the work zone area, as well as equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel along the roadway near traffic flow.
