New Christian County Coroner Ready For Early Start

Christian County’s newly elected coroner will be taking over the position a month early after Coroner Dorris Lamb announced over the weekend he is retiring from the position November 30.

Christian County Judge-Executive Steve Tribble signed an Executive Order Tuesday appointing Scott Daniel as Coroner, effective December 1st to the fill the vacancy of Lamb, who is retiring after 32 years in the position.

Daniel says he is glad to get started early.

Daniel, who retired after a career at the Hopkinsville Fire Department, defeated Zachary Lamb in the Coroner’s race during the November general election by a vote of 8,912 to 8,260.
