Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation has been awarded a $1,500 community grant from Walmart Neighborhood Market. City officials say the proceeds will be used to promote the authentic global sounds, sights, and tastes of the 10th annual Hopkinsville International Festival and to support other local parks programming.
The 10th Annual Hopkinsville International Festival will also see a change of venue next year to the new Sportsplex. Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Superintendent Tab Brockman says in a release the International Fest is the opportunity for the city to celebrate the community’s diverse culture with citizens from around the world. He adds the festival continues to grow as more people throughout the region learn about the sights, sounds, and food that are apart of the event.
Activities for the International Festival kick off Friday, March 22 and continue on Saturday, March 23, 2019.
